A mug may appear simple in structure, but it is a "touchstone" for testing the basic skills of a hardware processing factory. Behind a high-quality stainless steel mug lies a contest of mold precision and an aesthetic expression of surface treatment craftsmanship.

In the processing of stainless steel mugs, the core lies in the stamping and drawing of the cup body. Unlike the double-layer structure of vacuum insulated cups, a single-layer mug appears simple but in fact places extremely high requirements on mold precision and the stability of stamping equipment. A circular stainless steel sheet (commonly 304 or 316L) needs to go through multiple processes such as blanking, first deep drawing, second or even third redrawing, and shaping and trimming before it can be transformed from a flat sheet into a cup body with uniform wall thickness and a rounded bottom. If the mold clearance is improperly designed, the cup body is very prone to drawing marks; if the stamping oil ratio or annealing process is not in place, cracking may occur. Wotai has been deeply engaged in the field of hardware hydroforming and drawing stamping for many years and has the technical experience to handle the forming of cup bodies with large depth and large diameter, ensuring that the cup body maintains consistency in mass production.

Handle welding is another key link in mug processing. The connection point between the handle and the cup body not only affects appearance but also relates to safety in use. The welding point needs to withstand repeated lifting after being filled with liquid. We adopt precise spot welding or laser welding processes, combined with subsequent polishing treatment, so that the transition between the welding point and the cup body is natural, with almost no visible connection traces. For products pursuing the ultimate appearance, we will also evaluate the use of integrally formed or hidden welding structures to enhance the overall sense.

Surface treatment determines the "first impression" of a mug. From basic brushing and mirror polishing to advanced sandblasting, baking paint, and even enamel inner coating, different processes give the cup a completely different temperament. For example, matte sandblasting treatment can bring a delicate feel and is not easy to leave fingerprints; while bright mirror polishing appears smooth and bright. Wotai has a complete surface treatment production line and can provide diversified texture solutions according to the brand's design language, allowing an ordinary stainless steel mug to also become an exquisite vessel that carries the brand's tonality.
